Today, the business world is under pressure from every direction. On the one hand, the competition conditions and the rapid change in the field of technology and communication leave the companies in an economic race with new developments every day.

The ISO 9001 Standard completely left the organization of how the Quality Management System was created. It is not a "standard Kalite Quality Management System, but a Quality Management System that meets the requirements of the standard.

Trade has become increasingly globalized and companies have had to compete in a much wider range. Competition conditions have started to force companies to have superior qualifications.

Parallel to this, customers also began to become conscious. Customers are more aware of everything than before and their expectations have increased. This situation has forced them to go beyond customer expectations in the race between companies. Exceeding the expectations of the customers in today's technological opportunities and framework has become more important for companies.

The ISO 9001 Certificate establishes an assurance that the products or services of the organization are established as a result of a management approach that is guided and managed in accordance with an internationally recognized management system, thus ensuring the continuity of the organization's product and service quality.

The change in technology has become so dizzying that it has been the priority targets of companies to design products that customers cannot even imagine. Companies that cannot keep up with this rapid change have become very difficult to stand.

The existence of companies no longer depends on providing the production of goods or services, even if they are in the sector, in accordance with customer needs and expectations.

Therefore, within the organizations, Quality management system establishments have become important. Establishing the Quality Management System means establishing the principles of a product or service, starting from the design stage, to the production, sale, sale, marketing and after-sales services. In the implementation of the Quality Management System, it is essential to target continuous improvement, not only to set up this system.

ISO, International Standards Organization(International Organization for Standardization). Established in 1947 in order to provide international standards in manufactured goods and services.

ISO 9000 Quality System Standards, first published in 1987. From this date on, it has become an international market which is most popular by all companies. These standards are reviewed every five years, in order to maintain their applicability, to regulate the points that require revision, or to remove points that require removal. In this way, 9000, 1994, 2000 and 2008 have been updated.

ISO 9000 Standardsis a kind of quality assurance model that aims to establish both a quality system and an established quality system in organizations.

Same standards in our country Turkish Standardization Institute as TS EN ISO 9000 Standards. However, it is necessary to accept that Quality System Standards are not a system that solves the problems related to quality. He says which standards are necessary for quality production but he does not tell them how to do it. This point is the result of their management understanding of companies. As a result, these standards specify the minimum requirements for an effective Quality Management System.

ISO 9000 Quality Management System Standards is a set of standards. It is a set of standards that guide the establishment, documentation and sustainability of an effective management system, as well as guiding the company in increasing customer satisfaction and establishing an environment of trust between companies. These standards are applicable to all kinds of small and small companies, regardless of what they produce and how big they are. It is only applicable in all sectors, not in the companies producing goods or services. These standards define the core disciplines in the organization and establish procedures to meet customer needs in relation to their field of activity.

The biggest benefit of ISO 9000 Quality Standards applications is to reduce the costs of organizations, to ensure the efficient use of resources and to increase revenues in this way. As quality will be the basis of every step of the activity, the highest customer satisfaction will be ensured in this way.

ISO 9000 is a series of standards. There are four basic standards that make up this series:

  • ISO 9000: Quality Management Systems, Basic Principles, Terms and Definitions. This standard describes the basic principles of quality management systems.
  • ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems, Terms. This standard specifies the conditions of the quality management system that an organization will comply with when it has to prove that it is capable of providing products that are appropriate to customer requirements and expectations.
  • ISO 9004: Quality Management Systems, Guide for Performance Improvements. This standard is aimed at improving the organization's performance and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • ISO 19011: Quality Management Systems Audit Manual

The enterprise that wants to be certified can make a request for the QMS, Quality Management System (ISO 9001: 2015) during the application by filling out the application form of the certification body (TÜRCERT) correctly and completely.

The most important issue in the establishment of Quality Management Systems is the organizational structure, resources and responsibilities of the organization. What is important is that established systems can be documented and maintained in a way that all employees will understand. Quality Management Systems should be established and operated as a whole not only for the company but also for the subcontractors and suppliers that the company is in contact with.
