However, if the product to be offered to the European Union carries a high risk, then the manufacturer must apply to an approval body. To do this, the manufacturer must prepare a technical file again. Notification bodyshall see the general description of the product, the drawings of the product design works, the production processes, the list of the technical conditions of the product, the quality values of the product that meet the basic requirements of the relevant Directive, and the test documents and reports of the product and make its decision on the basis of this file. In the technical file, there will be a declaration prepared by the manufacturer which explains that the product complies with the safety, environmental, health and consumer protection standards. However, since the product is in a high risk group, this declaration does not mean CE Certificate.
Notification bodies are the bodies authorized by the member states to carry out the testing, inspection and certification studies of the products and notified to the European Union Commission and, if deemed appropriate, announced in the Official Journal of the European Union. In our country, more than ten approved organizations are operating. The only condition for becoming a notified body is that the requirements of the relevant regulations are fulfilled.
