The notified bodies have been implemented by the European Union through the Global Approach program adopted in 1989. The Modular Approach program adopted in 1990 introduces different methods according to the conformity assessment studies, the low or high risk level of the products. Consequently, the Declaration of Conformity issued by the Turkish Standards Institute is applicable throughout the world. Based on this declaration, CE marking on the products is accepted by all countries, especially the European Union.
