Food companies who apply at TÜRCERT by filling out the Application Form, after passing an agreement and contracting, pass the audit work. The auditors appointed by TÜRCERT shall control the product types covered by the Halal Food standard. This includes the means of production, the additives used in the production, the cleanliness and hygiene conditions of the facilities, the risks that would pose a health hazard. It is also controlled whether the methods used in slaughterhouses comply with religious rules.

The auditors shall prepare a report at the end of the audit work and submit it to the certification body. If the certification body deems appropriate, the company shall be given a Halal Certificate.
