Since electrical or electronic devices produce an electromagnetic wave during their operation, they can both disrupt the operation of other vehicles and may be affected by electromagnetic waves generated by other electrical or electronic devices. Most electrical or electronic devices are therefore covered by the EMC Electro Magnetic Compliance Directive issued by the European Union. At the same time, these vehicles are still published by the European Union LVD Low Voltage Directive It is covered.

The LVD Low Voltage Directive includes electric vehicles that use 50 volts to 1000 volts or 75 volts and 1500 volts to direct current voltage.

LVD tests It is carried out by test and inspection bodies or laboratories which are authorized by national or international accreditation bodies. Among the tests performed, leakage current test, input power and current test, ground line continuity test, protection against reaching stressed sections, warming test, moisture resistance test, grounding test, unusual test, high voltage test, isolation test, physical strength tests , IP powder and water tests and similar tests.

The European Union first issued the Low Voltage Directive in 1973. A number of updates were made later on and after 1990, electric and electronic products were required to have a CE marking on them for free movement in the European Union. This CE label on the product certifies the conformity of these products to the European Union. A product bearing the CE label means you have the right to free movement. This feature was with the New Approach Decree. The LVD criteria define the minimum requirements for the safety of life and property. It is forbidden to place a CE label on products that do not meet these criteria. Products that are placed on the market in this way are collected immediately.

Ministry of Industry and Trade, published Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits and the requirements for conformity assessment processes for the introduction of electric vehicles covered by this regulation, safety requirements and conformity assessment processes. This regulation has been prepared on the basis of the directive 2006 / 95 / EEC Low Voltage Directive (LVD) issued by the European Union.

Electrical safety tests for electrical and electronic products must be performed and reported in accordance with the provisions of this regulation. The manufacturer must keep these test reports in the technical dossier they prepared for CE labeling. CE labeling for vehicles without LVD test reports in the technical file is not legal. Otherwise, penal sanctions may be applied.
