In order to ensure the safe and healthy working environment, and the lack of health and safety risks for the employees, numerous regulations have been enacted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, particularly the Occupational Health and Safety Law 6331 and the Health and Safety Requirements Regulation on the Use of Work Equipment. Many facilities, installations, machinery and tools that are used by various enterprises should be inspected at certain periods.

Below are the mandatory inspection and inspections which should be done in short titles.

  • Safety inspection of machines

Depending on the development of technology, machines and components have started to multiply and diversify. This has led to an increase in occupational accidents in working environments. Therefore, increasing the security measures to be taken has become an obligation. According to the legal regulations in force, regular checks of a large number of machines are mandatory. These checks should be done by mechanical engineers who are experts in their fields.

  • Forklift inspection

Today, with its agility and mobility capabilities, forklifts are one of the most important stacking vehicles of our time. Regular checks of forklifts are also required as they carry heavy loads. According to the law, it is a necessity to carry out regular checks against a possible accident risk. In the event of an accident, the first point to be looked at is whether the forklift has been checked regularly. Otherwise, the owner will be held responsible.

  • Crane inspection

Cranes are heavy-duty vehicles, such as other lifting and transporting vehicles, and must be kept under constant control in terms of operating conditions. There are unwanted accidents due to the fact that cranes and their accessories are sometimes used incorrectly and defective at the end, and sometimes not regularly maintained. Maintenance of cranes in certain periods is a necessary application in terms of both protecting the employees and not exposing the workplace to unnecessary costs.

  • Platform muayane

For temporary work at high altitudes, a suitable platform is established, ensuring that the work is carried out in safety and in appropriate ergonomic conditions. To this end, the most suitable platform to ensure safe working conditions is established. It is legally obligatory to inspect the platforms used. Workplaces that use these platforms without having their regular inspections will be primarily responsible for the results.

  • Transpallet inspection

Pallet trucks are also one of the forklift trucks. Manpower (manual pallet truck) or engine powered (motorized pallet truck) models are available. Above loading capacity, improper loading, improper use of pallet trucks or use of motorized pallet trucks by unqualified persons may cause accidents. In order to protect the employees and the responsibility of the employer in an accident, the maintenance of pallet trucks must be done in certain periods.

  • Carascal examination

Hoops are a tool in the group of lifting or conveying machines. It moves on portable feet and it is used to transport heavy objects from one place to another with the arrangement of rollers on it. They act as a kind of portable crane. Caraskals should be inspected at least once a year by qualified engineers if no other period is specified in the relevant standards.

  • Mobile crane inspection

Mobile cranes are included in the group of lifting or conveying vehicles. Since mobile cranes can move vertically and horizontally, they can be used for lifting and transporting any kind of cargo. According to the law, employers are responsible if an unexpected accident is encountered. Regular inspection of mobile cranes is a safety requirement.

  • Vehicle lift lift inspection

Vehicle hoists are usually two or four columns. They are used during the maintenance of automobiles and light and medium heavy commercial vehicles. It is generally used by auto repair shops and services. They provide the vehicle with an ergonomic height when performing general checks at the bottom of vehicles requiring maintenance and repair, when looking at the brakes, when replacing the silencer and for similar work. Because the load they carry is heavy and risky, the use of these tools is also risky.

  • Boilers and pressure vessels inspection

Boilers and pressure vessels undergo corrosion as they are used. Connections and welds may have openings or cracks. These may not be visible, but if they continue to be used in this way, there is a risk of explosion. Faults are detected in the examinations performed and it is determined whether the pressure vessels work safely and are suitable for use. This creates a safer working environment at workplaces.

  • Elevator inspection

Periodic inspections of the elevators are a detailed examination of whether the elevator is suitable for use in terms of safety of life and property. Periodic control and regular maintenance to the elevator are also checked. Man and load-bearing elevators must be checked by experts at least once a year if no other period of time has been stipulated in the relevant standards.

  • Grounding Inspection

In case of any electrical leakage in the devices used in the grounding, home and work places, it is to connect the parts that are not under tension to the ground with a conductor in order not to endanger human life. The grounding examination is based on the criteria set out in the Regulation on Grounding in Electrical Installations, Regulation on Electrical High Current Plants and Electrical Internal Facilities.

  • Electrical Panel Inspection

Electrical panel, electricity meters, power meters, capacitors, power contactors, measuring instruments, power relays, control relay, breaker switches and electrical fuse, such as a combination of elements such as a cabinet. In general, electrical panels, during the inspection, the location of the panels, physical condition, insulation properties, short-circuit durability, protective circuit efficiency, mechanical functionality, such as the temperature increase is controlled.

  • Cathodic protection measurements inspection

Cathodic protection is a form of protection of metal structures from corrosion by electrochemical means in their environment. This method requires electrical current to control corrosion. As soon as the electric current stops, the metal structure will continue to corrode. Therefore, it is necessary to check the cathodic protection system at certain intervals and to intervene immediately in case of possible fault conditions.

  • Inspection of lightning conductor controls

The buildings where flammable and explosive substances are produced or stored must be equipped against lightning in accordance with the legal regulations in force. Protection against lightning can be provided by lightning rods and other protective measures. In order to achieve the expected benefit from lightning rods, it must be checked by qualified persons at least once a year.

  • Noise and vibration controls inspection

According to the Regulation on Protection of Employees from Vibration-Related Risks and the Regulation on the Protection of Employees from Noise-Related Risks by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the and the noise level must be measured and controlled.
