The abbreviation ECE consists of the initials of the Economic Commission for Europe meaning the European Economic Commission. ECE standards provide high safety performance for engine parts, components, systems and separate technical units. If an entity that manufactures such vehicles and equipment is based on a valid ECE standard during its production activities and has proved this with the tests and inspections of a competent authority, it may place an E mark (E mark) on it and present it to the world market with confidence.

The figure in the background on the E mark indicates the country in which the product was tested or approved. In our country, parts, systems, systems and separate technical units produced for motor vehicles are tested by authorized institutions and E-mark approval is given on these products if deemed appropriate. The most important point here is that the competent body should be an accredited body. However, the approval given in this case is valid and accepted worldwide. Otherwise, there is no provision for the approval of the institutions to be accredited.

For example, baby car seats and baby carriers offered in our country and European Union countries must comply with the European Union safety standards and these products must be labeled with ECE. For the safety of children in the car, car seats are a huge requirement. From 2010 to the age of 12, children must sit in safe car seats in the car.
