The error-free operation of the machines and equipment used by the enterprises during production depends on regular maintenance and checks. This is the only way to achieve zero quality, which is the basic principle of total quality. It is not enough to equip the plants in perfect conditions and with perfect machines. No matter how modern and expensive machines are used, regular maintenance and inspection is not possible, and one day it may abandon production activities.
ISO 9001. Maintenance Procedureis prepared with the aim of determining the methods and responsible for the maintenance, repair and control works to be carried out in order for the enterprises to continue their activities without causing a production error. This procedure includes the planning, implementation and maintenance of machinery and equipment affecting the production quality of the enterprise and the elimination of defects that may arise in the machinery and equipment, calibrations and similar works.
In order to work with zero errors, it is necessary to get ahead of all possible errors in order to achieve perfection.
Maintenance and repair work is usually done within the enterprise. However, if the company's own facilities do not allow this, then the maintenance and repair service is taken from outside. Such service is procured according to the procurement procedure.
If a machine with a malfunction is covered by the warranty, then maintenance and repair are provided under the terms of the warranty agreement. In case of emergency, technical personnel can be used for faults that can be rectified by simple intervention without violating the warranty agreement.
The machines which have not completed their economic life or are not used for technical reasons, and the machines which cannot be repaired due to wear or deterioration and are not repairable are scrapped.
Maintenance and repair work is carried out in two ways. When a machine malfunctions during operation, repair work is the maintenance of malfunctions. However, even if the machines do not malfunction, they must be maintained at certain intervals. This is preventive maintenance. Regular maintenance work is followed by a regular maintenance follow-up list.
A job request form is issued for the repair of machines that show malfunction.
